Review: Taming the Highlander

Taming the Highlander Taming the Highlander by May McGoldrick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'Taming the Highlander' by May McGoldrick is book two in the "The Scottish Relic Trilogy". This is the story of Innes Munro and Conall Sinclair. I have read book one "Much Ado About Highlanders" but feel this is easily a standalone book.
Innes has come with her family for her sister's wedding. There she meets Conall who has been saved from being a prisoner but is now a recluse because of his time and injuries. But Innes keeps accidentally running into him and Conall is finding Inness were attractive. Innes sister is having immediate trouble with her new husband and talks Innes into staying to help her not be so alone. This gives Innes time to get to know Conall too once he returns back to the castle. Innes hides a secret that she can read people past so she frears Conall won't want her. Conall has the similar feelings that Innes won't want him now that she can see his past.
I loved the first book and this is another great story!
I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
