Review: Tempest in the Highlands

Tempest in the Highlands Tempest in the Highlands by May McGoldrick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'Tempest in the Highlands' by May McGoldrick is book three in "The Scottish Relic Trilogy". This is the story of Miranda MacDonnell and Rob Hawkins AKA Black Hawk. I have read the previous books but feel this is a standalone book. The other couples do make an appearance to help take Sir Evers down. Miranda has been helping her mother who had the 'sight' to see things in the future. But her mother saw that Miranda was now in danger. and made her leave her home. Miranda's mother and father was killed just days after she left. Once her mother died the gift of 'sight' was past to Miranda. Miranda is on a mission to find her twin brother and to try to stay alive. Sir Ralph Evers is out to kill her and get her powers. . Hawk has been set to find Miranda who he thinks will help him lead him to Sir Ralph Evers who he is to kill per Tudor king. Miranda takes to cut her hair and take on the life of a boy on Hawks ship to use it to transport her to where her brother is. But the ship runs into a story and Miranda ends up saving Hawk. At first Hawk thought Miranda was a boy but shortly learned who she was. This starts their journey in finding love and taking Sir Evers down. Very exciting, funny and so enjoyable.
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
