Review: The Rogue's Wager

The Rogue's Wager The Rogue's Wager by Christi Caldwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'The Rogue's Wager' by Christi Caldwell is book one in the new series "Sinful Brides. This is the story of Lord Robert Dennington, the Marquess of Westfield and Helena Banbury. Robert when he was younger thought he fell in love and was going to marry the woman who worked for his family. But his heartless Grandfather opened his eyes to that woman. From then on Robert was harden to women and changed to be more of a Rogue. Now in the present time his Grandfather is gone and his father is trying to bring Robert back to the man he used to be. Helena was living on the streets as a pick pocket and was abused. It left her with physical and mental scars. But her 'brothers' on the streets took her in and started to keep her safe and isolated from other people. Now in the present day she is wanting to get some freedom and try to overcome some of her past.
On an accidentally meeting when Robert was pretty drunk he ended up in Helena room. Can these two overcome that past that changed both of their lives to more forward to a happy ending?
This was such a great story that I can't wait to read about the other characters to come in other of Ms. Caldwell's books.
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
