Review: Closer To Sin

Closer To Sin Closer To Sin by Elizabeth Squire
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
'Closer To Sin' by Elizabeth Squire is the story of Liliane Desailly and Sinclair Charlcroft.
I will say this story was slow to start for me at first but it quickly wrapped you into their story.

Liliane was asked by her cousin to come to France to help with their grandfather's legacy. Once Lilliane arrives she hears that she must pretend to be a spy and help Sinclair 'Sin' with this mission. It seems her cousin Solange has found a journal from their grandfather. Solange was to go and now has set up Lillane to go in stead.

Sin is somewhat upset that Solange isn't going with him and he feels that Lilliane will be to much of a distraction for him since he is very attracted to her. But Sin as sworn off Marriage after his own marriage when very wrong. His wife was not was she seem and was having affairs while he was away. The last being the cause of her death as she and the stable head had died after their ship floundered in a storm.

All Sin had to do was meet with Gareth and personally courier the information back to Sir Avery. But now it appears Gareth is dead and that is changing the plans that Sin had. This is making this 'trip' more dangerous than before.

Sin and Lilliane start on their mission but their is danger, mystery and not to mention a very hard attraction between these two!.
