The Duke's Seduction of Lady M by Raven McAllan is the story of Lady Mary McCoy and Brody Weston, Duke of Welland. I will say this does have a slow start but I thought it picked up and I enjoyed this book. I have enjoyed a few other books by Ms. McAllan and appreciate her writing.
Mary is a widower who loved her older husband. Mary and him got along and although it did not seem to be a passionate love it was love for her. So Mary isn't your typical widower and that added to the story some.
Brody is return home after being away and now has the title of Duke of Welland. Brody has pretty much sworn of love after his mistress was brutally attacked. Brody didn't seem to be in love with his mistress but cared for her and how she died.
When Brody first sees Mary he is very much attracted to her but since he has sworn off being with another women he tries not to act on it. But a few weeks later he actually meets Mary and finds he is still attracted to her and thinks that if he gets to know her that will change.
Mary too is attracted to Brody but she also at first tries to keep it from going further too.
But attraction can't be stopped....
