Review: Happily Never After

Happily Never After Happily Never After by Bess George
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
'Happily Never After' by Bess George was a book I thought I would read but not get to attached to it as you do with book... you get sucked in to their story like a movie. How wrong I was! I was hooked from the first few pages! It has the Alpha type male, Bode Taggert who is fighting his feelings because of past issue that he feels he has closed down his heart too. Our heroine, Kelsey Brackston
has had it hard from the get go! Her father killed her mother and then she was taken in to the foster system. There she met David who became a brother of sorts to her. Kelsey and David were able to get out of the foster system and make a good life for themselves. David married and had kids and Kelsey became their Aunt. Kelsey also became Assisted District Attorney and was all business until she was shot and almost died. The shooter was killed but Kelsey can't move past the shooting and has started having Anxiety attacks. David ask that she come visit with him and the family. There she meets Bode who is a Detective Cop. They both try to fight their feelings since both have their own issues from the past they haven't got past. But the stalker that has followed Kelsey to town and another guy who is stalking her is making it hard for Bode to stay away.
I would easily recommend this book!
