'Naked Choke' by Vanessa Dare was a really a refreshing book that was a change of sort to what romance book story usually are.

Emory is at an engagement party that is for her good friend. This really is Emory first attempt at being single and alone in a long time. Emory has been divorced for about 4 years but has been raising her son, who is now off to college. So Emory is trying her to spread her wings some but has only found the cousin of the 'groom' who is not bad looking but his most interesting talk is about when not to eat Oysters. So Emory thinks it time to try to get away from him and possible leave the party. But then Emory notices a really good looking man with her friend's future groom. Emory likes what she sees but thinks he is out of her league. But the next thing she knows he is by her side saving her from the 'Oyster Man' who may or may not be named Bill or Bob.

Grayson Green sees Emory when she went to the bar to get a water and he likes what he sees. When Gray goes to 'save' Emory from a cousin of his friend he finds she is just as great to talk to as to look at. Even better she doesn't seem to recognize him. Gray was a famous MMA champion and most people are after him for that. Gray talks Emory into meeting him in the park to watch him and his friend play a Rugby Game in the park.

Can Emory get over her cobweb dating skills? Can Gray make sure his past doesn't hurt his future with Emory?
