"Night Sins " by Lisa Renee Jones is the story of Kayla Ward who is a 'Watcher and Ethan is a Vampire. This is a short book...almost 100 pages.
Kayla is "Watcher" one of seven women born to protect humans from paranormal beings but also from those who wish to enter from beyond. The women are overseen by the Council of Lords.
Kayla works the Las Vegas area and there have been some killings going on and she is looking into those. This leads her to talk more to Ethan who she really is not suppose to.
Ethan is also looking into the death and does not want Kayla getting involved but as we know that won't be happening.
Ethan is attracted to Kayla as she is to him. But with the killing going on and with Kayla's Council of Lords it would appear these two lovers are going to have a hard time of it.
