The Dastardly Duke by Eileen Putman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
"The Dastardly Duke" by Eileen Putman is the story of Hannah Gregory and Julian LeFevre, Duke of Claridge. I truly loved this book! I could not put this book down. This was a really good emotional book that I easily became a part of. I am now looking for more of Ms. Putman's book!!
Hannah has been deaf since she was 17 after falling from a tree. Hannah had been staying at her Aunt and Uncle's house after the death of her family. Now that she is deaf her Aunt turns her out. Which sets in motion Hannah ending up at a 'Hospital' where the mental and sick whores go.
Julian has been struggling since his father died that he might not actually be his son. Julian and his father have never really had a relationship and his father never came for him until he was about 13 years old. So Julian has been a real rake, doing nothing but drinking. Now though he is trying to pull himself together. His friend puts out a bet for him to do that Julian can't make any women be excepted by the town. Julian picks Hannah to be the one that he remakes and passes her off as a poor relative of his friend.
Can Julian win the bet? Can Hannah and Julian get past the bet and move forward?
