I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
This is book two in the "Hunt Club" series by Pamela Labud. I have read the first book "To Catch a Lady" I didn't feel that you had to read that book to enjoy this one. But I would say that first book was just as good as this one...so why miss out.
Michael Carver has been living a wild life that he doesn't feel that he deserves Beatrice who is his best friends sister in law and also his fried. But Michael has been in love with Beatrice since first meeting her. Now Beatrice is in trouble with a person wanting to claim her as his ward so he can marry her off to a very bad man. Michael friend ask him to marry Beatrice and take her away and hid her. Michael is suppose to try to convince Beatrice to marry him while away. Beatrice is in love with Michael but she knows he doesn't want to marry or commit to anyone. So she refuses to marry him even to save herself. This starts their great story of tying to get away from the bad man and to find they way to the alter. Really enjoyed this book!
