I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
'Hot Mess' by Madeline A. Rosenberg is book one in the "Tragic Love" series.
This romance book story is of very young love and kind of remind me of my old school days were one day the hottest girl in our school was with one boy and then next day deep in a relationship with another boy. This story did keep you reading to see what was going to happen next. I would say this was a guilty pleasure read on how the young people seem to date and what goes through their minds. Anna was a main character in this book and she was very popular with the guys and seem to be somewhat spoiled and not sure what she wanted. This story did move forward some to when they were somewhat older but I didn't see to much change for Anna.
This book also had good secondary characters that you got to hear/read what was happening to them...so that was a nice change. We didn't just have the main characters point of view.
I personally have a hard time trying to decide on a rating.... between 3.5 or 4 stars. Some parts were really great and some parts I just liked but I kept thinking that it is because I am not a young reader for which this book would a ideal story...but overall I enjoyed it. So glad to have the chance to read and review this book.
