'This Earl is on Fire' by Vivienne Lorret is book two in the "Season's Original" series.
This is the story of Miss Adeline Pimm and Liam Cavanaugh. I have not yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book. Although after enjoying this one I do want to get that previous book called 'The Debutante Is Mine'.
Liam was a playboy, rouge and after being hurt by a women when he was young now also makes him a man trying to avoid marriage. But sometimes you have to be 'knocked over the head' to find that special someone. Which is what kind of happened.... Liam was found by Adeline and her parents outside their door of the house they were renting. They quickly took him in to help him. Adeline felt a quick connection with him that she did not want to feel. Adeline has it set in her mind that she will not marry and does not want to find her love as she thinks because of a limp she would be treated like her parents treat her. That she can't do anything and needs to be protected. So this starts their love of each one not wanting to fall for the other one but not able to stay away from each other either. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more of Ms. Lorrets books.
