Review: The Lord's Captive

The Lord's Captive The Lord's Captive by Cecelia Mecca
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

' The Lord's Captive' by Cecelia Mecca is book Two in the "Border" Series. This is the story of Sir Bryce Waryn and Lady Catrina Kerr. I have read the other books in this series but this is easily a standalone book. Bryce and Geoffrey just took back the Bristol Manor that was taken from their family a few years back that also ended the lives of their parents. Geoffrey being the oldest should now inherit the lands but he has given the lands to Bryce. So Bryce is now the Lord of Bristol Manor. Immediately after the battle two men happen to find a injured Catrina. They brought her back to the Manor. Bryce was first upset that they brought her back as she was a Kerr and that made her the enemy. Bryce has a hatred for the Kerr family as his beliefs are that they are responsible for taking the Manor and the killing of his parents. So he decides to use her further for his revenge. Catrina is a fighter having grown up with brothers so fight she will to get away and help save her brothers. But the attraction between these is making it hard to fight their growing feelings.
This was another exciting story from Ms. Mecca. I have truly enjoyed this series and this book just added to the excitement of the series. I can't wait for more books by Ms. Mecca.
