'THE HIGHLANDER'S VIKING BRIDE' by Cathy MacRae is book Two in the "Hardy Heroines" series. This is the story of Calder MacGerry and Katja Sinclairs. I have not yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book.
MacGerry and Sinclairs have been at war for awhile and now that Calder father has past, he is looking into ending this war. Katja doesn't trust to many people after the treatment she gets from her father and his people. Although her brothers try to protect her it still is a big issue. So when she is ordered to marry the enemy Calder she thinks maybe this is the chance she need to get away from her father. But peace doesn't last with the MacGerry as someone start to try to kill her. Will this fragile bond between Calder and Katja that had started to slowly grow be broken?
I found this to be a really great story and so enjoyed read it. It makes me want to find more books by Ms. MacRae.
