'Kingpin' by Alexa Riley is the story of Thea James and Salvatore Costello.
Thea is a young hardworking women who is holding down two jobs and living in a really bad area In her young life her parents died and her Aunt took her in but her Aunt had several kids so she was lost in the crowd there...and left at a early age. Now she is trying to get by working all hours of the night. When she agrees to stay late at her waitress job she knew she would have a somewhat dangerous time getting to her apartment from the local transport system. But she never thought she would see a murder and that the guy would follow her to her apartment.
Salvatore and his men protect the neighborhood and local business for a price but when hes men learn that some of the people are doing awful things like beating their wives or hurting kids and stuff they don't put up with that. So on one of these jobs to fix a bad person Thea happens to see him. Salvatore follows her but he knows when he first caught her that she was something different. That she was going to be his for life. Now to just work Thea into that ideal.
I so love Ms. Riley's stories! They are always hot, Instant love with a alpha male who wants to protect his women. Also she is the best at given Epilogue as she does a few years into their relationship.
This also has what I would say is a bonus story as we get to read about Salvatore's 'Brother' Giovanni and Emma and how they met and fell in love.
