Review: Pirate of the Highlands

Pirate of the Highlands Pirate of the Highlands by Connie C. Scharon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'Pirate of the Highlands' by Connie C. Scharon is book Seven in the "Highland Legends" series. This is the story of Mya and Connor MacLean. This can be read as a standalone book.
Mya and her twin sister Tara are taken by a pirate named Captain Jock Murdock. Mya and her sister sometimes go with their father when he is checking shipment for his overseer. Mya being the more adventures one talks Tara into going out on one such visits and Captain Jock takes them. The next thing they know they are on a ship with about 15 other women and Captain Jock planes to sell them to men...sex slave trafficking. When he takes Mya to show her to a man who wants to buy twins he is interrupted by Connor who is trying to stop and catch Captain Jock. Although Jock gets away he is forced to leave Mya behind. Now Mya finds herself in the care of Connor. Both aren't sure at first if they can trust each other but Mya knows she needs to get her timid sister back and help save the other women.
This was a fast past book that was hard to put down. I have enjoyed all of Ms. Scharon books that I have read so far and would recommend her and her books!
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
