“Earning It” by Angela Quarles is the story of Pepper and Luke. Pepper is feeling hurt unlike herself after her boyof a year broke of with her and texted her that she was cold. Pepper is starting her new Practice so her life will be focused on that but she would like to prove her old boyfriend wrong. Her friend has hooked her up with a blind date Named Rick. So when she goes to meet him at the Coffee Shop she see a man fitting Rick’s description. Luke has his own issues and when Pepper walks up to him and calls him Rick, he doesn’t correct her. Luke remembers Pepper from school and she doesn’t seem to remember him, but he remembers her. So he goes along with her thinking he’s Rick just to have a moment of peace and to talk to her.
This was a really sweet read that I truly enjoyed!
