Review: When Sinners Kneel

When Sinners Kneel When Sinners Kneel by R. Scarlett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Sinners Kneel by R. Scarlett is the story of Beau Knight and Alexandra 'Lex' Harvey.
Beau and Lex were both in dark places neither wanting to trust, feel or know the softness of love again. Beau had his heart physically ripped out of him after he was punished for have a relationship with a human woman and getting her with child. The woman and unborn child were killed and from the on Beau took on the life of darkness and turned his back on the future title he was to have.
Lex too had learned the harsh less that love hurts when her mother left her as a child and her father died. Lex was left on her own at a very young age and was beating and made to steal until she was found by Tensley Knight who is Beau's younger brother. There she was given safe shelter although she did still work but only for Tensley this time.
Now years later Lex is 18 years old and looking to save a friend that has gone missing which brings her to the "Pit' where Beau works there as a fighter. Beau and Lex have met just a few times when she was younger, but now that they have met again they find there is an attraction that both try to fight against.
But Lex is determine to find her friend and Beau is just as determined to keep Lex safe.
If you have read the previous series called "Blackest Gold" that was the Tensley and Molly story line then you will enjoy catching up with them some..but if you haven't yet read their story this can easily be a standalone book. I happened to love that series and excited to read more books by Ms. Scarlett.
I would easily give this book a 100 stars if I could, but left to give it 5 Stars.
