When a Scot Gives His Heart by Julie Johnstone is Book Seven in Highlander Vows: Entangled Hearts Series. This is the story of Marsaili Campbell and Callum Grant. I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book.
Marsaili and Callum feel in love but that love was pulled apart by family. Marsaili fought to move past her feelings and the hurt that Callum caused the last few years. Besides the broken heart she is dealing with a evil father and trying to get back all that he has done. But she is caught and it looks like the only one to save her is Callum. Callum too was hurt but he thought Marsaili had past away but he has moved forward to help his clan by being engaged to someone else.
Marsaili and Callum end up going through so much to get to their ending.
Another exciting read by Ms. Johnstone...loved this second chance at love story.
