The Successor by Alina Jacobs is the First book in the Holbrook Cousin's Saga. This is the story of Kate and Grant.
Kate was asked by her boss, Walter Holbrook to go get his long lost son Grant. Grant has been away fighting for the Marines but has landed himself in trouble which has lead to him meeting Kate.
Kate has sworn off men after having such a bad time before. But Grant is slowly making that hard promise to keep. Grant has a instant attraction to Kate and works to bring that forward into something else.
