Outlaw King by Julie Johnstone is book One in the Renegade Scots series. This is the story of Elizabeth de Burgh and Robert the Bruce.
Robert is working to stop an English King from taking Scotland which really should be his anyway. During a fight he happens to see Elizabeth which he can't get her out of his mind. Time passes before they meet again, this time Elizabeth father is using her to get information from Robert. Elizabeth is threaten to do this or other members of her family will be hurt. Elizabeth goes forward to try and seduce Robert but their growing feelings start to make things real. But can either trust the other...unless they give into their true feelings?
Wow...this book is one that is impossible to put down....loved it! What a great start to an exciting series!
