The Trouble With Vampires by Lynsay Sands is book 29 in the Argeneau Series. This is the story of Santo Notte and Petronella 'Pet' Stone. I have read the previous book (and Loved it) but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Pet has come to watch her nephew Parker when she was asked to by her sister. Pet is a History Professor and her nephew is a very smart 6 year old. Santo is now hunting down the immortal rogue who captured and tortured him. Santo has been finding armies for centuries so this is just more personal mission but what he didn't expect to have was to find his mate. Pet knows what Santo and his family are but she also has her secrets. Danger of course is following them both, so we get some drama with their love story.
I am such a fan of Ms. Sands, so her books are a must read for me.
