Everybody know Claire Winters is …*ahem*… not a nice person.
She struts into town in her designer heels only when she wants money from her
estranged father.
Except for retired special-forces straight talker, Finn
Williams, who came to Twin Elks searching for the peace and contentment missing
in his life. Finn likes Claire just fine and is not shy to show it.
Irresistibly drawn to each, will mistrust, lies and deceit
destroy Claire and Finn’s happily ever after before it begins?

Author Bio
Born
British and raised in South Africa, Sarah Hegger suffers from an incurable case
of wanderlust. Her match? A hot Canadian engineer, whose marriage proposal she
accepted six short weeks after they first met. Together they’ve made homes in
seven different cities across three different continents (and back again once
or twice). If only it made her multilingual, but the best she can manage is
idiosyncratic English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese,
even worse Zulu and enough French to get herself into trouble.
Mimicking her globe trotting adventures, Sarah’s career path began as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations, settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the fertile soil of her first love, writing. She also moonlights as a wife and mother.
She currently lives in Colorado with her teenage daughters, two retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, Sarah’s restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.

My Review
5 Stars
Ticket To Ride by Sarah Hegger is book Two in the Passing Through Series. This is the story of Claire Winters and Finn Williams. I have read the previous book book feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. With that said, this book picks up pretty much where the last one left us with Poppy and her kids living in Horace's house but Ben has moved in too. Horace's daughter Claire is still wanting to see the home and put Horace in a nursing home. Claire comes to Elk Grove where her estranged father lives to try to work him into a nursing home and sell the house. Claire finds Finn working to repair the house and some furniture, she learns that he is staying at the house too. Finn has issues left from being in the military which makes him think no one would want to marry him, but he does see something in Claire that other don't. Finn talks Poppy into giving her a chance to prove she is more than a greedy daughter. We start to learn more about Claire and she isn't the awful person we thought...even the town starts to take to her.
Really sweet read just like the previous book. Love those secondary characters that always gives me a little laugh.
