KING OF SHADOWS by Amelia Wilde is the story of Persephone and Luther.
Persephone's mother is very protective of her due to her being so paranoid of the outside world.  This leads Persephone to grow up pretty much isolated.  When Persephone goes to runaway with Decker to experience some of the world that she wants to see.  But it turns out that her mother was right there is someone out there that will take her...Luther.  Persephone gives up her life to save Decker from Luther so she is now his to do what he wants to her.  Luther takes her away where he isn't gentle with her but for some reason Persephone is drawn to him.  Both are taken back about what the other does to them and of course they work to fight it.  This is a dark book that ends with a cliffhanger....I can't wait for the next installment!
