HOW TO CATCH A SINFUL MARQUESS by Amy Rose Bennett is book
Three in The Disreputable Debutantes Series. I have read the previous
books which did add to my enjoyment of this one, but I did feel this
could be a standalone book. This is the story of Hamish MacQueen, Lord
Sleat and Olivia de Vere. Hamish is a war worn man who find himself with
a child that was left to him claiming the child was his. This leads
Hamish in need of a nurse to help care for the child which he finds in
Olivia. Olivia who lost her parents and now is being forced to live with
her aunt and uncle who are not very kind to her at all. They even make
fun of her speaking because sometimes when she is nervous she stutters.
Then their is their son who is also very awful but he wants to marry her
for her money. Feeling that no one will really want her for her she
takes on the identity of the governess/nurse to help her neighbor. This
of course puts them working closely together to help the child which
leads them to start have stronger feelings towards each other. This was a
wonderful story, so I would recommend this book and this author's
writing. Loved it.
