Cala Riley, better known as Cala and Riley, are a pair of friends with a deep seated love of books and writing. Both Cala and Riley are happily married and each have children, Cala with the four-legged kind while Riley has a mixture of both two-legged and four. While they live apart, that does not affect their connection. They are the true definition of family. Haruaki by Cala Riley is book three in The Syndicates Series. This is the story of Cleo and Kai. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one. Cleo is an 18 year old Irish Mob Princess who is now being offered in and arrange marriage. One of the gentlemen that are in the running is Kai who is the dark Prince of Yakuza and who from the first look at Cleo knows she is his.
Although Cleo has been sheltered and kept innocent she is proven that she is strong and will be the perfect dark Queen. Kai was the dark and possessive male characters that I love. This was a page turning read and I will be looking for more books from this author.
