Running on Diesel by Melissa Foster is book 8 in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor Series. This is the story of Desmond Black “Diesel” and Tracey Kline. I have read some of the previous books which did help me to enjoy this one a little more since Tracey and Diesel had been secondary characters in the previous books. Tracey came to Peaceful Harbor after running from her abusive boyfriend and landed at the Parkvale Women's Shelter which is owned by the Dark Knights. This lead her to work as a waitress at their family bar named Whiskey. Diesel is a biker who doesn't really have a home nor attachments but when he was asked to be a bartender at Whiskey he agreed along with protecting Tracey. Diesel has tried to fight these feeling he had for Tracey but they seem to be winning especially the more Tracey becomes more confident. I am a huge fan of Ms. Foster and I recommend this book. Loved it!
