The Dom Identity by Lexi Blake is book Two in the Masters and Mercenaries: Reloaded. This is the story of Vanessa Hale and Michael Malone. I have read the previous book which did add to my enjoyment of this one, but I do think it can be a standalone book if you wish.  Vanessa a former actress who has had a up hill battle in life has found more trouble when she starts to quietly invest age her sisters death.  Besides that she has been ridiculed for being married to an older man everyone seems to be against her.  Michael was born with a silver spoon but he doesn't work to live that life and has made himself a former military and working for McKay-Taggart. Michael has been assigned to investigate Vanessa so he goes undercover as her Dom but he ends up seeing Vanessa for who she really is and doesn't want to loose her.  But danger has come looking for Vanessa.  This was a very exciting hot read.  I do recommend this book and this author's writing. Loved it.
