The King by Nana Malone is book Two in the Gentlemen Rogues Series.  This continues the story of Lachlan and Saffron that started in the previous book 'The Heir'. This book picks up about three months later after they hot encounter in book one.  Saffron family is part of of a group of assassins known as the Rouges.  Although we learn Saffron wants to do more her family has her training to keep her safe which is how she ends up working with Lachlan.  Lachlan is a well off playboy who has come to be trained and his teacher is Saffron.  This puts them working close together building on their attraction that they shouldn't have but can't help but have it.  Loving this series!
