I took a step back and raced forward, shoving my shoulder against the bedroom door. The wood easily splintered from the hinges as the lock gave way. The door swung open.
On the other side was Catherine, backed into a corner, holding a small nightstand lamp aloft as a makeshift weapon. Her beautiful hair was down and lying in waves over her shoulders; with her glasses placed neatly on the nightstand, I had an unobstructed view of the alarm in her gorgeous emerald eyes.
“Stay back!”
I lifted my arm and let one side of the handcuffs tumble out. “Now why would I do that.”
Her beautiful eyes widened.
This was going to be fun.
Catherine chucked the lamp at my head and tried to run past me. I deflected the lamp with my right forearm, and snatched her around the waist with my left. “Not so fast, little one.”
I grabbed her by the chin. “Miss me?”

Jekyll by Zoe Blake is the First book in the Stalked by a Monster Series.  This is the story of Henry Jekyll and Catherine Poole.  Henry is a scientist working on a formula that doesn't seem to be working the way he wants it too.  Catherine is a lab assistant that has been sent to help Henry.  But, Henry thinks that she is there to spy on him. Henry tries to push her away even though he is strongly attracted to her.  When he takes his formula he starts acting like someone else and starts acting on his feeling for Catherine.  Enjoyed this book and can't wait for more in this series!
