Royal Creed by T.K. Leigh is the First book in the Broken Crown Trilogy. This starts the story of Esme and Creed. If you have read Royal Games or Tangled Games duet from the Dating Games Series, then you have met these characters before. But this can be a standalone book. Esme is a Princess who has just returned home from her studies. Esme is informed that she will have to marry. Of course Esme is not happy with an arranged marriage. But to try to get some control over her life she thinks to choose who will at least be her first intimate encounter. Creed is Esme's brother friend and she has always felt something for him. Creed is a military man who is head to be a part of the Royal Guards. This book does end with a cliffhanger setting us up for the next installment in this Trilogy.
