This is the story of Leo Bianchi and Caroline Garoughty.  This is a interconnection series so it does add to the enjoyment of this book if you have read the others. But, with that said I thought you could make it a standalone book if you wanted too.  Caroline and Leo both can't get along with the other due to misconceptions they have of each other. But they have mutual friends and with that have them being a God Parent to those friends. But then Something happens that Caroline needs Leo and this opens them up to learning what the other person really is.  Enjoyed.
