The Beach in Winter by Leslie Pike is the story of Parish Adams and Scarlett Lyon.
Parish lost his son and with it his heart. Now choosing to pretty much leave a isolated life to deal with his pain. Scarlett has just lost her sister and brother in law but gain their child. With this new step into motherhood to raise her nephew has taken her to leave in their town to keep him close to what he knows. There she meets Parish a neighbor and they slowly form a friendship which of course leads to more. This was a heartstrings tugging story but I really enjoyed it.
