With a low groan, Jo stretched her aching muscles and tried to roll to her side, certain her alarm would go off at any second to wake her up. Her right arm refused to follow the movement of the rest of her body and instead ended up twisted at an awkward angle above her head. Frowning at the odd sensation biting around her wrist, and perplexed at the unexplainable and uncomfortable position she seemed to be in, she blinked her lashes open and found herself looking directly at her prisoner reclining casually on her bed, his head propped up by his hand, unrestrained and completely in control.
He stared at her in return, the dark stubble lining his lean jaw intensifying the green hue of his eyes. “Good morning, sweetheart,” he drawled in greeting.
She barely heard his words…not when her mind filled immediately with alarm that he’d managed to escape somehow. Then pure, undiluted panic registered when she yanked on her hand again and realized she was the one secured to the headboard of the bed, putting her at his mercy. Adding to her internal chaos was the knowledge that her keys and revolver were on the nightstand between them…far, far out of reaching distance.
Her heart beat so hard she feared it would explode from her chest. She had no idea how she’d gotten in this predicament, couldn’t remember anything at all to give her a clue as to why she was the one shackled to Dean’s bedpost, or how the authority had shifted in Dean’s favor.
No matter the hows or whys, she refused to be a victim. She scrambled to a sitting position, preferring to be defensive instead of defenseless. Narrowing her gaze on him, she jutted her chin out. “How did you manage this clever trick?” she asked, opting for a sharp, snide tone to drown out the fear churning in her belly.
He had the audacity to wink at her. “I’ve always heard a magician never reveals his secrets.”
“You’re a felon, not a magician,” she snapped irritably, hating that this man had somehow, some way, duped her.
He feigned a wince at her well-placed barb, which did nothing to hide the humor dancing in the depth of his eyes. “Come on, Jo,” he said, cajoling her with his rich voice and sexy smile. “If I was really a felon on the run, fearful of standing trial back in San Francisco, I would have been long gone by now, leaving you to your own devices and letting the motel maid find you shackled to the bed. And if I was some kind of malicious criminal, I would have taken advantage of you hours ago.”
Her heart rate slowed as she mulled over his comment, knowing instinctively that what he said was true—no real convict would have wasted such a prime opportunity to flee. Knowing, too, that his behavior since she’d captured him and the evidence she’d discovered in his wallet all lent undeniable credibility to his innocence. Now she was forced to trust him, his story, and her own intuition.
Believing him came much easier this morning than it had last night, not that she was going to admit that out loud and give him any more leverage than he’d already managed to gain.
Calmer now, she wanted, needed, an explanation. “Could you tell me how I ended up cuffed to your bed?” she asked, then followed that up with a polite, “please?”

 Hot and Sexy by Erika Wilde is the First book in the Some Like it Hot Series.  This is the story of Dean Colter and Joelle Sommers.  Dean is a business man who works to much with not much fun nor adventure in his life. Joelle is a ex cop with works as a PI with some Bail bondsman jobs.  So when she is hot on the trail of someone she mistakes him for Dean.  Needless to say the adventure for both of them along with some sparks and laughs.  Loved their story and cannot wait to read more from this author...loved her writing!

 Unforgotten Passion by Erika WIlde is book 4 in the Dirty Sexy Fairy Tales.  This is the story of Collin Donovan and Raevynn Walsh.  I have read the previous books which of course added to my enjoyment of this one but I did feel this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Collin and Raevynn were once young and in love but they broke apart when Collin made the choice to break them.  Now in their present day Raevynn has been a very successful singer who has become dictated to and kept away from so much. Raevynn just wants to break free and get back to freedom not to mention happiness.  Collin feeling for Raevynn are still there and he goes to Wilder Way Fairy Tale Ball to just be near her one more time even though he knows she won't have feelings for him. But he finds she needs rescuing and of course he can't do anything but help her.  This of course leads to them getting close again.  This was a wonderful second chance at love along with the underlining Rapunzel fairy tale.  Enjoyed this book and series!

Normally, I’m too rushed in the morning to indulge myself.” They took another step forward in line. “Lucky for you, it’s my treat and I insist you indulge.” She tipped her head, drawing his gaze to the soft tumble of hair falling over her shoulder and how the ends curled right at the upper swell of her breast. “Shouldn’t I be paying for this, considering the circumstances?” “Absolutely not,” he replied adamantly, forcibly keeping his gaze on her face instead of her chest. “What boyfriend worth his salt would let his girl pay?” “I haven’t hired you yet,” she reminded him cheekily. He grinned. He wasn’t expecting Evie Bennett to be so impudent, and surprise, surprise, he was definitely enjoying their banter, and her. “True. Which means I really need to step up my game and impress you.” And honestly, when was the last time he’d wanted to make such an effort with the opposite sex? This was not a girl who’d opt for a salad if she was offered a burger or pizza, and thank God for that. His attraction to her just increased ten-fold.

Evie is tired of the talk about her ex who cheated on her and the long faces about her dating life. So when friends points her toward the Boyfriend Experience app to use to get a temp boyfriend to take to a family event to avoid the talk that would happen if she came alone. Eric who doesn't have issues with getting women but he does feel the pull of what his friends have. When he learns that they have put a profile up of him on the Boyfriend Experience app he becomes curious of who is looking. This leads him to meet feisty Evie who makes him feel more than he ever has before. Evie is shocked by Eric who did show up for their first meeting, he is more than she thought.
Cute and fun romance that I really enjoyed....can't wait for more from these authors!!

"Enough about work. I say we move on to other pleasures," Aiden said with a flirtatious gleam in his eyes. "What'll you have to drink? Your normal white wine spritzer?" Predictable and boring had been her life for the past three years because it was a safe place to be, but tonight, being in a different city and away from her normal routine and weighty expectations prompted her to be daring. "I think I'll have a Moscow mule," she said, stepping completely outside of her square little box. He arched a dark brow, the amusement in his eyes warm and playful. "Wow, walking on the wild side tonight, huh?" She laughed, the sound huskier than she'd intended. "Sure. Why not." "Why not, indeed," he murmured, looking at her as if he was seeing someone other than the reserved woman he'd worked with the past three years before motioning to the bartender. "What can I get you two?" the older gentleman asked as he set a small square napkin on the counter in front of each of them. "Two Moscow mules," Aiden said, surprising Daisy by ordering one for himself. "You like them, too?" she asked once the bartender left them to make their drinks. With a mixture of vodka, spicy ginger beer, and lime juice, it was usually an acquired taste. "Never had one," he admitted, flashing her a dimpled grin that caused a warm tickle in her belly. "But if you're taking a walk on the wild side tonight, then I'm joining you." She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm such a rebel," she scoffed, then shook her head at that absurd notion and laughed. "Okay, let's be real. I'm so not rebellious." "I know, which is why I'm not letting you indulge alone," he teased, leaning his forearm on the countertop. "You know what they say . . . friends don't let friends get drunk alone." Her lips quirked at his explanation. "Umm, can't say I've ever heard that quote before." "Just go with it, Daisy," he encouraged, swiveling his chair so that his body was turned toward her, though she remained sitting straight because if she did rotate her seat his way, his legs would end up bracketing hers. "Besides, I don't want to be the responsible sober one if you do something crazy, like dance on one of the tabletops. I want to watch and cheer you on." Her cheeks warmed at the notion of doing something so impulsive, but mostly at the thought of Aiden encouraging her brazen behavior and having his eyes on her while she shimmied her body and tempted him to end her three year dry spell. Yeah, as if that would ever happen. Judging by the beautiful, sophisticated, svelte women she'd seen him with, she was so not his type. "So, truthfully?" he said, his voice effectively snapping her out of her little fantasy, even though the residual scrape of her tight, hard nipples against the cups of her bra was distracting as hell. "I've always been curious to know what a Moscow mule tasted like." "You didn't have to order one," she told him with a laugh. "I would have given you a sip of mine." "Mmm . . . I don't think I should be putting my lips on your lips," he said, his voice dipping sensually low as his gaze skimmed across her mouth before lifting to her eyes again. "Well, not technically, anyways, but if you shared, I might not be able to stop at one taste, and that wouldn't be fair to you." Daisy's pulse stuttered, then resumed at a faster, more arousing pace. Oh. My. God. Were they even talking about the Moscow mule anymore? She was used to the occasional teasing exchange with Aiden at work where there were a dozen other people around so it never felt personal. But now that it was just the two of them, without anyone else around to buffer his comments and the situation, she wasn't sure what to make of this more intimate dialogue . . . except to admit that it was making her very aware of how much she missed this kind of connection with a man . . . especially the physical one. And how much she liked Aiden's attention. The bartender delivered their drinks, and both she and Aiden picked up their highball glasses and took a sip of the Moscow mule. The taste of vodka was strong, but the spicy ginger beer and lime gave it an interesting twist of flavor. It took Aiden three sips, taken with a furrowed, uncertain brow, before he finally, slowly, nodded his head in approval. "It's definitely different, but I like the kick of spice." He shifted his gaze from the drink, to her. "Who knew beneath those conservative suits you wear that you were a woman who liked a little spice in her life." His eyes twinkled mischievously, though there was something more heated simmering beneath the amber hue as he maintained eye contact with her. As if he was testing just how far she'd allow this arousing banter between them to go. If she'd play it off like she normally did, or if she'd dare to take a walk on the wild side, as he'd suggested earlier. The thought was appealing, especially in a city and environment where no one knew them. Deciding to just go with the flow of flirty conversation and enjoy the evening away from work, obligations, and responsibilities, she took another swallow of her drink and smiled at him. "That's because you've never seen me out of my business attire."

TALL, DARK AND CHARMING by Erika Wilde is the First book in Tall, Dark and Sexy Series.  This is the story of Aiden Stone and Daisy Parker.
Daisy and Aiden work for the same company and been 'work friends' but when Daisy takes a new job within the company it gets them working closer together.  Daisy knows of Aiden reputation with the ladies so she tries to stay clear of a personal/physical relationship with hm.  Daisy has been down that road before with a past hurt and her mother's warning of men.  But when they go on a business trip they end up making their own personal business.  Which was fine until the surprise a few months later. 
Loved reading how their story played out!
