Review: The Den Of Iniquity

The Den Of Iniquity The Den Of Iniquity by Anabelle Bryant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'The Den Of Iniquity' by Anabelle Bryant is book one in the "Bastards of London" series. This is the story of Max Sinclair and Lady Vivienne Beaumont. Max has grown up with the knowledge that he was a bastard and in addition that his mother was raped then killed. Max did go to Eton so he does have a very good education but has taken his life to the Underground World of Gambling/Men's Club. Max also is slowly getting even with the men who hurt and killed his mother.
Vivienne has just lost her mother about a year ago and know is working her way back into Society. Lucky she has some great friends to help her. In addition she is dealing with a Step-Father who her mother married just a short time before her death. Vivienne also wants to keep up the good works her mother used to do and thinks to help those who she might be able to reform. On a chance meeting her path crosses with Max. Which starts and instant attraction. Max can't help but be drawn to Vivienne even though he knows he is way out of her standing. Vivienne feels at first Max is someone she can help but fast learns that she is attracted to him and he is the one that starts to show her things she didn't know. But can Max move past his hunt for vengeance and let Vivienne in? Ms. Bryant quickly draws you into this story and just couldn't put the book down. I can't wait for more books in this series!~
