Even if it Hurts by Sam Mariano is the First book in the Coastal Elite Series. This is the story of Aubrey and Chase 'Dare'. Aubrey is just trying to survive, help her mom who has cancer and go to school.  But when Anae another college girl comes into the story to return a shirt that she didn't get from the store, Aubrey ends up being on her crazy radar.  This leads her to meet Chase who is Anae's boyfriend. Chase is a psychopath who becomes obsessed with Aubrey.  This starts their crazy story.  Just a FYI but their story was a anthology in the Filthy Elites anthology box set.
