Review: A Duke's Wicked Kiss

A Duke's Wicked Kiss A Duke's Wicked Kiss by Kathleen Bittner Roth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

'A Duke's Wicked Kiss' by Kathleen Bittner Roth is the story of Suri Thurston and John, the Duke of Ravenswood. Suri and John met briefly 10 years ago along with her sister. Suri and her sister Marquerite were talking about Marquerite coming out ball. Marquerite was questioning if she should have someone kiss her first before her ball so that she would have some experience. John happened to overhear and confronted the ladies. He gave Marquerite a very sisterly kiss but when he got to Suri who didn't want to partake at first...he gave her a kiss that stayed with them both for 10 years. Now 10 years later Suri sister Marquerite is living in India with her husband and child. Suri has come to visit her but also wanting to find out more of her past. Suri was originally from India when her father was over there for business he ended up getting her mother pregnant. Suri was finally saved by her father who took her home to his wife and to Marquerite who was just born. Now she is looking into that past. John has changed from the person he was when he first met Suri. He has lost a brother (making him the Duke) a wife and child that each death he seems to blame himself even his father's death. So meeting Suri again is giving him mixed feelings. John finds his old attraction to her is there which is upsetting since he has been faithful to his dead wife for the three years she has past. But John can't stop wanting to protect Suri when her life comes into questioning for her looking into her past. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
