The Charmer’s Gambit

by Lexi C. Foss Mershano Empire #2 Publication Date: December 5, 2017 Genre: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
He set his sights on the wrong girl. Me. Law school taught me a lot of things, but nothing prepared me to deal with this determined, hotter-than-Hell millionaire. Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered. But resisting Will Mershano is harder than passing the bar. He’s everything: sexy, confident, intelligent. And he wants me. When he hires my firm to represent Mershano Vineyards, I’m left with no choice but to work right alongside him—or forfeit my job. There’s only one problem. He doesn’t know about my past or how it stalks me at every turn. All he wants is a little flirtatious fun, but Will’s playing a dangerous game. And there’s more at stake than just my heart. . .

My Review:

The Charmer's Gambit by Lexi C. Foss is book Two in the "Mershano Empire" series. This is the story of Will Mershano and Rachel Dawson. I haven't yet read the previous book but feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Rachel was helping her friend with a contract when she met Will who was also following up with his cousin part of the contract. Rachel had instant lust for Will but with her stalker ex Ryan, she knew she couldn't act on it. Will wanted her to become a part of his lawyer firm for the Winery he owns. But she won't agree due to her ex but Will approached the company she works for and so she ended up having to help his business. But while trying to fight her feeling for him she is also trying to protect her self from the abusive ex who won't stay out of her life.
Once I started reading this book I could not put it down. Loved it!
