Cowboy Rebel Carolyn Brown is book 4 in the Longhorn Canyon Series. This is the story of Nikki Grady and Taggart 'Tag' Baker. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Nikki is a hardworking RN who never really had time for careless play or dangerous behavior, she to busy building her life. Tag lost a good friend which in turned made him careless / reckless with his life and actions. Tag has moved forward somewhat working on his ranch but after a bar fight leads him to the hospital, something in Nikki makes him start rethinking his mind set.
