Kate and Brandon were young and in love they even got physical with their love. But then they ended up breaking up after a each thought the other betrayed them. Now several years later, neither had forgotten the other but they still have the thoughts of the other betraying them. When Brandon comes to 'save' his nephew from being in love with an actress he finds that actress is Kate.
This is their second chance to clear the air and find that they still have those same feelings.
