Her Ruthless Warrior by R.G. Angel is the First book in The Syndicates Series. This is the story of Victoria and Hoka. Hoka is the Mafia leader for Japan and with it has brought him isolation along with people fearing him as they should. But on a chance meeting where his car almost hits Victoria he gets to feel how it is to be 'normal'. Victoria isn't have a good day with loosing her job finding out she had a cheating boyfriend things just go from bad to worse until she meets Hoka. Victoria doesn't know who he is other than someone willing to help her. Hoka tries to keep Victoria in the dark for too long which of course causes issues. Enjoyed this book and I want to read more from this author.
