Spark of Madness by Brynn Ford is the First book in the Ember Glen Series.  This starts the story of Mercy and Arlo.  This is a future set dystopian type romance that is dark.  In their cult like world they have women that are given to men to be of services to them. Dark things happen. When Mercy comes for her time she tries to run for it but is caught by Arlo.  This starts their story and this book does end with a cliffhanger setting us up for the next installment.
