An Armored Heart by RC Boldt is the story of Ella Marchetti and Steele Cunningham. Steele is all business and doesn't want his clingy ex trying to get back with him.  Ella is a hard working women who owns a restaurant called La Dolce Vita but the building is going to be destroyed by Steele.  So, with a plan to get him to keep her building she goes with a plate of food for Steele to try.  Of course he won't do it and she tries to make him which leads to them being caught by his ex and business partner in a compromising position.  This leads Steele to an ideal to get his parents and his ex off him by having Ella pretend to be his new girlfriend. Ella has agreed to be that pretend girlfriend for a few months with the agreement that Steele will keep the building.   Loved this book.
