Lunamare by Pepper Winters is the First book in
the Luna Duet. This starts the story of Nerida Taylor and Aslan Avci.
This book grows with their story of first meeting when Nerida who is a
12 year old girls who lives in the Port Douglas of Australia. Who has
two Marine Biologist as parents, so Nerida feels more home at sea than
land. Along with Aslan who is a 16 year old boy who is escaping his
homeland of Turkey when their ship wrecks. Nerida is the one that finds
him and saves him. This created a bond between them. Nerida felt the sea
had gifted him to her in a way. But, Aslan is more closed off due to
his past situation but vows to always protect Nerida. This book does
take us through twist and turns of their lives and does end with a
cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next installment!
