Review: When a Marquess Loves a Woman

When a Marquess Loves a Woman When a Marquess Loves a Woman by Vivienne Lorret
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

'When a Marquess Loves a Woman' by Vivienne Lorret is book three in the "Season's Original" series. I have been jumping around in the series and feel this can be a standalone book I will say I did feel that they had talked of a wager between Maxwell Harwick and Juliet White from a previous book but wasn't enough to hurt my enjoyment of this story.
Max has been in love with Juliet since they were younger but Juliet has been in love with his brother. When his brother declares he is going to marry someone else. Max goes to Juliet to let her know so she won't be so hurt when finding out but that just leads to him comforting her and then to a kiss. Which they are caught...when Max comes to talk to her father the next day he learns that they have all left and Juliet is married off. Now years later Juliet is a widow and has returned to town. There Max and Juliet but head and wager each other as they both hold a grudge against the other. But that doesn't last to long but will the past come back for Juliet? Will Max once again have to take a back seat to his brother?
