'Devices & Desires' by Pamela Sherwood is book one in "The Lyons Pride" series. Please note that there is book 0.5 called "The Advent of Lady Madeline" in this series. This is the story of Lady Margaret Carlisle and Lord Gervase Lyons. I feel that this can be a standalone book. This is the story of second chance at love for Margaret and Gervase. Margaret at one time about eight years ago was engaged but he died. Gervase has always loved Margaret and thought to go forward with his love but finds that Margaret now has left and ran away to be married. Gervase did go forward with his life and became a very well known lawyer. But not all these years later he meets with Margaret again to find she is a widow and asking that he go with her to the family holiday gathering. Which he does but when they arrive it seem not all is what they thought it would be.
Can their second chance be more that a fling together?
