'Heartbreaker' by Stacey Kennedy is book One in the "Filthy Dirty Love" series. This is the story of Maddox and Joss. Maddox is a season cop but only has one night stands. Doesn't do second nights or dates. Joss has just gotten out of police training and is now working under Maddox. Both are fighting their attraction that actually started a year ago when they met at a bar. Neither knew the other person name and they had a quickie in the bathroom. But the memory has been in both of their minds and they can't get over the hot, exciting encounter they had. Joss had just broken up with her boyfriend of six years when she had her sexual encounter with Maddox and to this day she still is holding a grudge against that relationship. Vowing to near get involved for long term again. When they meet that year later, they both at first don't acknowledge their first meeting. Maddox still wants her but wonders if he can trust her know that he is her boss.
This was a really hot and exciting read! I enjoyed reading how these two were coming together and getting over their past. I loved the epilogue..it always such a please when the author puts one in...like a 'cherry on top'.
