'Once Bitten' by Heather McCorkle is book One in "The Wolves of Hemlock Hollow" series. This is the story of Sonya and Ty.
Sonya is tough, alone and learning to become a Doctor. Sonya meets Raul who she thinks is nice and after a date they start to make out when he ups an bites her. Sonya hurt and struggling to realize what he has done with Ty shows up to chase him away.
Ty takes on the role as her 'teacher' for learning what she is becoming after Raul's assault. Ty is suppose to have a non-emotional connection while teacher her to become a werewolf. But he is finding it hard to do that. Sonya is struggling to understand what is happening to her...but her father had told her stories of what she is now dealing with.
