Arynn’s Chosen Mate by Elle Boon is book 8 in the Iron Wolves Series. This is the story of Arynn and Sheila. I felt this book is easily a standalone book.
Arynn had a one night stand with Sarah who is Shelia sister about 12 years ago. Sarah and Shelia came into a bar that Arynn was at. Arynn wolf thought that Sara might be his mate but the wolf had misread the signs. Now all this time later Sarah is dead and Shelia contacts Arynn to ask for his help with his daughter that he hasn't seen before. Shelia too has a daughter just 4 weeks age difference from Arynn daughter which Shelia raised them as sisters. When Arynn comes to meet his daughter he learns why Shelia needed him to help them...and it seems that Shelia is his mate.
