Her Wedding Night Surrender by Clare Connelly is the story of Pietro and Emmeline.
Emmeline father is dying and he asked Pietro to marry her to keep her safe. Emmeline mother did a number on her that made her feel less than and always lacking so even though her mother has past several years ago, Emmeline still feels the pull of self-doubt. Pietro too has had past issue that keep him from ever wanting to commit to someone but when he good friend and mentor ask that he step forward and marry his daughter to keep her safe is does so. But as they start to get to know each other and start to understand that the other isn't what they first though they were. Feelings start to grow but can they get past their past?
